Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Baker Street Irregulars will conduct its 2021 January events virtually. A technology Planning Group was convened several months ago, and is busily working to adjust the BSI Dinner’s traditional program to a virtual format. Updated: See our 2021 BSI Weekend Registration page for event details
The Baker Street Irregulars will sponsor two “official” events – the Distinguished Speaker Lecture and the annual BSI Dinner. The Distinguished Speaker Lecture (DSL), delivered this year by Andrew Lycett, will take place on Thursday, January 7th at 5:00pm EST. As usual, the DSL will be open to the public, with advance registration required.
The 2021 BSI Dinner celebrating the birthday of Sherlock Holmes will be held on Friday, January 8th, also at 5:00pm EST. As is traditional, the Dinner is limited to only invested BSI’s and invited guests. This year, however, since there will not be a separate dinner for The Women, they will be included as special guests.
A Digital Dinner Packet, containing PDFs of the traditionally printed mementos, will be made available to Dinner attendees. Those who wish to contribute an item to the Packet should send a print-ready PDF to <NickMartorelli@gmail.com> by Dec 10, 2020. The PDF file should be exactly how you wish your item to appear, and it should be correctly sized, cropped for on-screen viewing, and in high resolution (300 dpi graphics).
Registration information and further details about the Distinguished Speaker Lecture, the BSI Birthday Dinner and other associated events should be available by November 21.
We will send a News from the BSI email when registration opens. You can sign up for this free message and other reminders at our News from the BSI page.
