Register for the 2022 BSI Empire Conference at Bear Mountain Inn, NY

Registration is now open to all Sherlockians and the general public for our “Sherlock Holmes and the British Empire” conference to be held from July 29-31, 2022 at the Bear Mountain Inn near West Point, New York.

This event is open to everyone, but you must register in advance.

Conference topics will range as widely as the Empire in Holmes’s day: from India to Canada to Africa; from journalism to telegraphy to dining; from women in Empire to warfare to whist; and much more.

Conference Details

Conference sessions start at 9am on Saturday, July 30, and will finish on Sunday, July 31, at 3pm.

Registration includes breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

While all rooms at the Bear Mountain Inn itself are already filled with Sherlockians, the BSI has also arranged a special group rate at a nearby Holiday Inn (for details, see the Registration Form PDF).
